Since I do have a pretty decent spell checker, IF you request it, I will run your submitted tales through it, otherwise I will run them as is.

When you submit your tale, please put "Submitted by ______" at the end of your story, it can be a nickname, first name etc. No "Anonymous" tales will be published. I also need to tell you that any TALES, PICS etc, submitted to us is with the implied permission for use on our site and will become part of MoosenoseBrothers.Com.

Friends, remember that this is the INTERNET, so please be careful about providing clues to your identity, location etc. As you all know, there are folks out there that are less than scrupulous & will jump at any chance to cause havoc!

With all this said, I will start out the "Your Tales" by telling you how the MOOSENOSEBROTHERS name came to be.

Let us go back in time a bit, to a time of Flower Children, Long Hairs, Free Love & Peace Symbols, you guessed it, the mid 60's, Hippie Land.

The year was 1968, I had been in this country just a short while, arrived from Belgium at age 15, but this is a tale for another time.

I had just moved to Palm springs and was not a very happy camper, being a teen in a strange land (Boy WAS IT STRANGE). I started back to school at Palm Springs High, as fate would have it, this is where I met my lifelong Best Friend Peter, he too had just arrived here from his native Arizona.
I hardly spoke any English, but the language barrier didn't seem to matter to Peter, I think he made it a quest to help me learn the tongue of the land,English (later on I will share with you some of our escapades and the usefulness of being able to speak French while trying to pick up girls, they didn't know I could understand what they were saying LOL).

His folks, Bob & Betty as well as his little brother Chris all joined in this quest.
I didn't meet Peter's older brother Terry until a bit later, he was busy teaching the Vietcong & NVA's how to dance to the tune of M60's from his Huey helicopter of the 101st Abn Div (you want a good read? Check this out AN EAGLE' s EYE VIEW ).

A few weeks after our first meeting, I was invited to go to Phoenix to visit Peter's older sister Lynn and her family but also to meet Peter's buddies, Bill & Steve.

As you know, teens get bored quite easily, no Playstations, Xboxes, cable, cell phones, Ipods during those days! BUT one of the guys HAD a Driver's license, they all decided that we could have a blast at Apache Lake and maybe spend the night there, we had to ask permission from an adult, we knew that if we asked REAL adults our chances were as good as having an ice cream cone in hell, so devious little chits that we were, we pounced on SUSAN, Steve's HOT Hippie sister (I was in a deep state of Lust, never had I been so close to such Blonde, so friendly Goddess, I was a teen male, what did you expect?), she of course cautioned us on all sorts of things, but she even gave us wine and beer and a couple of bucks for gas ($2.00 would will a tank in those days!).

We arrived at the lake in mid afternoon, after some time scouting for girls and swimming a little, darkness came upon us, so we built a roaring fire and started warming ourselves with the fermented grape juice, it didn't take long for us, expert drinkers that we were, NOT!To get pretty snookered, of course a DEEP conversation started, I was trying to follow the story, I picked up that they were talking about wildlife, deer and such. I tried to jump in and tell them about a MOOSE that I had seen while in Sweden, the big problem was I had no clue on the word in English, so like a good European, I started talking with my hands, I did the motion of big antlers, the big nose, to no avail, those guys looked at me like I was nuts, and were laughing so hard, the more I got frustrated, the harder I tried, the harder they laughed,it was fast becoming Charade from hell. Imagine four teens drunk on whine playing charade. To surprise, Peter hollered out "MOOSE", which got me even more frustrated, for you see, I heard "MOUSE" which is that creamy French Chocolate desert! But Peter had actually figured it out and it took me a couple of minutes more to get it. I think people on the other side of the lake heard all this loud laughter! I was then Nicknamed Mr Moosenose.

A couple of weeks ago, while chatting with Pete, we reminised about old times and we both clicked on that story. A few days later, we were thinking that it would be fun to create a web site together, but we needed a name and by remembering this funny event, we decided to name our site MoosenoseBrothers.Com. So, there you are, you now know the tale of the Moosenose Brothers, Peter & Daniel. Now You Are NEXT!
