What can you expect from your visit?We hope to provide information, links, pictures & more on the topics of Firearms/Hunting/Fishing/Archery/Camping/Geo-caching/Paintball/Survival/ATV's, in other words any activities related to the Great Outdoors. 

 We are Dan Daniel and Peter Willman. We have been long time friends of 38 years and counting! We met in Palm Springs, California. Both of us had just arrived in this desert town and were newbies at Palm Springs High School. I had landed from Belgium and Peter had arrived from Arizona. Talk about opposites! I was 6'4 and ROWDY, Peter was a bit shorter and very MELLOW.  I am a LEFTY & Peter's REGULAR.We got along just great.

            Long Time Ago                                                                       Not So Long Ago

A few years later, right after graduation in 1971, our common uncle, "Uncle Sam", sent us a letter. For some reason he thought we were soldier material. So here we were, in the back of the bus, on our way to Fort Ord to be trained in the arts of War. The Army, for once, showed some wisdom and trained us to be company clerks. To make a long story short....Peter, "The Wise One", did his time and got out. Me? I must have been confused. I signed up for 6 more years.

After our stints in the service Pete and I found ourselves living out our adult lives, as people will, many miles apart in separate states. Through the passage of time though, Pete and I have remained the best of friends.

Actually, I regard Peter as the brother I never had. I hope that the stories we will share with you in the future, will put a smile on your face, so please stay tuned!

Our hope is to provide you folks with entertainment, information, and most of all, a little fun. Our site will deal with Outdoor related subjects. These will range from (not necessarily in this order ) and will not be limited to:
Hunting, Fishing, Camping, Survival, Firearms,Air Guns, Archery, Safaris, Paintball, Going Primitive, Wild Game Cuisine (yes I CAN cook !), Outdoor transportation (Mules to ATV's), Geo caching (a type of treasure hunting), "The One's That Got Away" (We are SURE we are not the only one's with these types of stories :-). We also plan to have a page on Boys/Girl scouting.

We also are avid Automobile guys, we love all sorts of cars, trucks, you name it if it has wheels and goes fast we like it. Peter is also a very talented pilot, he wants to get my big butt in an Ultra-Light, so far I am winning that battle and am staying grounded. I do love Airplane models, the realistic and built for adults type, check out this company below, you will be amazed at the products they offer! Great on your business desk or in your living room.

Amazing models of your favorite aircraft, naval ship & space ships & much more! I already told the wife those that I REALLY, REALLY LIKE! & I promised to be a good boy for the rest of the year! I want one of those in my stocking come Christmas! It is now the middle of March 2007, after a long absence we are back! I wished I didn't have bills to take care of so I wouldn't need to work, but so far I have been unlucky with the Lottery. In the next few days you will be able to see some new and exciting things on this site, so please stay tuned.

 We have started a music page, see link below, music is performed and most often written by MoosenoseBrothers Peter Willman & Randy Myers. ( The Old Farts Band-they wouldn't go for that one, darn! Thought it fitted us! LOL).

These guys are Great! If you enjoy Country-Rock Ballads, you will appreciate their music, not only do they sing, play MEAN Guitars but they write their own materials. Well folks we have a LIFT OFF! Upon speaking with some friends, I was reminded that SCUBA DIVING is also an OUTDOOR activity, I will be the first to admit that ever since I saw the original "JAWS" movie, I have had a phoebia of being in the ocean, I have restricted my swimming activities to lakes, rivers and swimming pools! Back in 1991 when I went on honeymoon in Mauii, my wife coaxed me to enter the ocean and do a little snorkeling which was actually fun, however a few days after our return to the desert, I watched a newscast where a fellow lost his life to a large Tiger shark, you guessed it, it was at the same exact beach where only a few days before I had been frolicking in the water! Our combined expertise on the subject of SCUBA DIVING is so minute that I might as well say it is Zilch! BUT here is a new page for you brave souls that may want to learn and perhaps purchase items for this very popular hobby.

GOLF! How could we have missed it as an Outdoor Activity? Here I am in Palm Springs CA, where there are so many fine Golf Courses, Private & Public both! If you are an avid Golfer, do plan on a visit to our beautiful Desert! So many things to do, so many Holes to play, great Tennis too! Fantastic eateries (I Love Foods). Make Palm Springs a place to visit in the future!

I don't know if you folks watch much Television, we do, Love the Amazing Race, Survivor, CSI and of course my all time favorites The Shield & The Sopranos, we changed to DishNetwork a little while ago (took me a while- am a Moosenose and a bit stuborn at times) because all our six kids are on Satelite TV and kept on telling us that our new plasma set would greatly benefit from that type of transmission. To these old eyes and ears, they were right! Hello Friends, during these last few weeks, I have had quite a few conversations with friends and relatives in regard to our country's situation with the rising cost of fuel. A close friend who owns a couple of convenience/gas station stores, mentioned that folks are really feeling the bite at the pumps, many are now planning their shopping outings and are curtailing their driving, many are also re-thinking their vacation plans. I hope and pray that this problem will be solved soon, but I am also a realist and a bit pessimistic in this case.

Peter and I thought that perhaps folks would appreciate it, if we could offer YOU an alternative to your usual mode of shopping for outdoor type items, one that does NOT require the use of the family vehicle, one that would give the option of putting the $$$ savings back into their favorite outdoor activity. I am not going to pretend that we are not hoping to make a dollar or two out of it, but I truly feel that you will benefit greatly by doing this type of shopping.
